ORGANISATION & OFFICERS

The day-to-day operation of the Club is managed by an executive committee chaired by the President, who normally serves for one year at a time. The committee meets quarterly. 

There are two other committees: 

1. The Publications Committee which is responsible for the Transactions and other publications and supports the Editor 
2. The Geoffrey Walter Smith Fund Committee which considers applications for funding for local projects or publications. 

During 2025, other committees / working groups are being formed to handle key aspects of the Club’s activities. Their membership and briefs will be communicated in due course.

THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE 

The committee has a maximum of 23 members at any one time, Committee members and officers are listed below. The Club is a registered charity (No. 521000), and all committee members are trustees of that charity. Officers of the Club can be contacted via the Contact Us option.

As reported at the Spring Annual Meeting of 15 March 2025 and in the Club’s newsletter for Spring 2025, the same committee members and officers have agreed to act as the first trustees of the Club under its new constitution as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (registration number 1212600).
